North Star Lake

Located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest, North Star Lake is a jewel in the Northwood's crown.  With 15 miles of shoreline and 1,000+ acres of clean, clear water it is a fisherman's paradise and a water-lover's dream.  The lake is a well-known muskie and walleye lake that also boasts large populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie and perch.

For those who enjoy watersports, the lake offers a refreshing escape from the hot, summer sun.  Guests enjoy the safe and shallow sandy beach which is a perfect spot for swimming and sunning.  Our water trampoline offers hours of fun and doubles as a great spot to soak up the sun.  With miles of largely undeveloped shoreline, waterskiers and tubers will find our waters uncrowded with plenty of space to "jump the wake!"  For those who appreciate a slower pace, use of our paddleboat is free of charge and a great way to leisurely explore the lake.
