North Star Lake is a pristine 1,024 acre lake with a maximum depth of 90 feet and DNR-rated clarity of over 13 feet. Located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest North Star Lake offers challenging fishing and abundant recreation amidst breathtaking scenery.
With 15 miles of shoreline and many points, secluded bays and underwater reefs North Star Lake is a fisherman’s heaven. Many anglers find it hard to resist the lure of the muskie! North Star Lake has a well-known reputation for its trophy muskie fishing as well as its walleye fishing. Northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie and perch are also abundant.
North Star Lake Resort, located on the east shore of North Star Lake, offers conveniences such as a cement boat launch as well as boat and motor rental. Our fish cleaning facility is modern and clean and is a great place to swap fish stories and tricks of the trade. Cabin rental includes free dock space for your boat.
